We wanted to give my in-laws a garden bench, so that they can relax outside when the weather is nice. A traditional English bench was considered, but I wanted to give it a bit of eastern fusion. Shintō kara kariru!
Unless one want to embrace the inner yoga instructor, the garden bench needs legs. Time to rummage in the wood pile!
When I slabbed a huge oak, the «skin» of the tree was left over. I took one of’em and made a bench out of it. Live edge slab. No waterfall, epoxy or spalting though…
